Abuja - Nigerian striker, Emmanuel Emenike, scored for Turkish Super Lig club, Fernabahce, on Monday night in a bad-tempered game against Trabzonspor that was eventually abandoned.
Emenike struck in the 23rd minute but the irate Trabzonspor supporters inside the Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu soon lost their rag and started throwing objects into the pitch, SuperSport reports.
Fenerbahce goalkeeper, Volkan Demirel, was the most high profile victim of the violence was showered with flares before the players escaped from the pitch.
