Eagles forward Emmanuel Emenike got a brace that helped his new club, Al
Ain, lift the Arabian Gulf Super Cup with a 4-2 win over Al Nasr at the Mohammad
bin Zayed Stadium on Saturday August 15, 2015.
Nigeria international, Emenike who played at the FIFA 2014 World Cup hit the
back of the net within the first three minute and then completed a brace later
in the match; the energetic striker benefited from a move that was initiated
by Omar Abdul Rahman who released a cross from the right, a touch well
directed by Lee Myung Jaoo to Brazilian midfielder Fellipe Bastos who fed
an unmarked Emenike to finish up nicely then he got his second from a goal

Emenike whose exploits at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in South
Africa still remains fresh in the hearts of Nigerians ended the strong
speculation in the Arabian country about his readiness to fill the big shoes
left by fellow African at the club, Asamoah Gyan with those goals he
scored to help his club lift the Arabian Gulf Super Cup.
Emenike is expected to deliver the goals in the league each week
as Al Ain kicks off their league campaign on Friday against Al Dhafra.
