Emetole positive on Heartland improvement

09 May 2014, 13:22

Owerri - Heartland FC coach, Kelechi Emetole has assured fans of the club that his team will continue to improve as the league progresses, KickOff Nigeria reports.

The Naze Millionaires beat Giwa FC 1-0 on Wednesday to record their second win of the season, and Emetole believes that his team who are on a seven game unbeaten run are a work in progress.

Emetole noted that the reason for his team's poor start to the season is premised on the little time he had to prepare the team, having taken charge of the side only two weeks before the resumption of the current season.

"I came into Heartland two weeks before the commencement of the league season and I did not have time to prepare the team, what I’m supposed to do with the team in pre-season is what we’re doing now and it’s working," he said in a radio interview.

Emetole however assured fans that they can now look forward to better results from the team in subsequent outings.

"From now henceforth, we look forward to better outings, on our side, we will be working hard to make sure that we progress."
