Lagos - Former Enugu Rangers coach Okey Emordi says he is
enjoying life outside football.
Emordi threw in the towel on October 20 after leading Rangers
to a fifth place finish in the Glo Nigerian Premier League 2012/13 season.
Currently out of a job, the former Enyimba handler said he now
spends time alone with his wife whom the game had taken him away from.
“I am enjoying life with my wife. No children around, just me and my wife having fun”, he told
"You know the job (coaching) keeps you so busy and away from
your family. If you’re not in training, you will be heading for a game across the
country and the continent”.
“So it’s good to be back home to my lovely wife. All the
kids are not around, it’s just me and her (wife) doing all the domestic things.
It’s been fun, but I still miss my job”.
“I look forward to getting another job elsewhere”, he
Emordi won the Manager of Year award at the League Bloggers
Award held in Lagos on Wednesday.
