Eniola Aluko happy to win WSL title with Chelsea

London - England striker Eniola Aluko has expressed her happiness at Chelsea winning their maiden Women's Super League title on Sunday, October 4.

Manchester City and Chelsea were neck and neck in the race for the title prior to the contest at Wheatsheaf Park (Staines, Surrey) with only two points separating the two teams but the Londoners emerged victorious on the back of their 4 - 0 win over Sunderland.

''Dream come true!!! WSL Champions. Feeling overjoyed. It was all meant to be @ChelseaLFC,'' Aluko tweeted.

The 28-year-old added: Thanks so much to all the Chelsea fans who made a record crowd last night. Delighted we could make you proud.

''Special mention to our skipper @chapmans17 7 league titles now & 5 FA Cups. One of the most decorated players in women's football.''

Over the course of the season, Eniola Aluko represented Chelsea in the Women's Super League title 13 times and scored six goals.

Chelsea Ladies won the FA Women’s Cup won in August.
