Enyeama confident of victory

15 November 2013, 18:31Israel Ojoko

Calabar - Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is confident Ethiopia will not stop Nigeria from reaching the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Nigeria take on Ethiopia at the UJ Esuene stadium in Calabar on Saturday to seal a place at the biggest football event on earth.

“We are hundred per cent fit but there is no way any team can deny us the World Cup ticket at this point in time. We may have made mistakes along the line but the focus is total and we will get what we and Nigerians desire against Ethiopia”, he said in a statement.

Nigeria hold a 2-1 advantage going into the game, but coach Stephen Keshi is not relying on that.

“We have never played Ethiopia before, we don’t know them, but we want to win against them and win well”, Keshi said.

He however expressed optimism that the team will not let the nation down in Saturday’s game despite the fact that the Ethiopians have not lost any game away in the qualifiers.

“We have also not lost any game away and we are the champions of Africa, we must be ready at all times for any opposition and I think that is what we are set to do on Saturday”, he said.
