Goals from Andrew Abalogu gave the People’s Elephant a first-half lead before Chimezie Amanfor and Kingsley Sokari completed the rout. Gbolahan Salami got a consolation goal for Stars against his former employers.
Defending champions Heartland FC beat Sharks 4-3 on penalties as the
game ended in a 1-1 draw after regulation time. Last year’s finalists
Lobi Stars beat ABS 5-4 on penalties to progress.
