Abuja - Enyimba have lifted the Federation Cup for the third time after beating Warri Wolves 5-4 on penalties following a 2-2 draw in the final on Sunday.
The game was approached with caution by both teams at the Teslim Balogun Stadium before the goals started flowing, SuperSport reports.
Enyimba twice had to come from behind with Bright Esieme and Uwadiegwu Ugwu scoring to send the game into extra time and penalties at 2-2.
Wolves’ Super Eagles defender Azubuike Egwuekwe was the only player not to convert when Enyimba goalkeeper Femi Thomas denied him from the spot to give Enyimba the spoils.
