Lagos - Upstarts in the Glo Premier League, FC Taraba put up
one of the best performances of match day two to leave Akwa United with the
full points after a 1-0 win on Sunday, Supersport reports.
Akwa United were favourites going into this clash after they
pulled off a 0-0 draw at Enyimba on match day one.
Playing without one of their top strikers, Luter Iyorhe, the
Jalingo club had to rely on Bobby Abel who caused Akwa United all sorts of
Abel finished off a fine move in the 16th minute to give FC
Taraba a shock lead.
Akwa United busied themselves doing all the attacking but
showed no cutting edge in the final third to produce that goal to level things
at the Uyo Township Stadium.
