First goal at White Hart Lane excites Dele Ali

03 November 2015, 14:20

London - Tottenham Hotspur midfield prodigy, Dele Alli, has expressed his delight after scoring his first goal at the White Hart Lane in a 3-1 thrashing of Aston Villa.

Alli got only his second goal for Tottenham in the win over Aston Villa since his arrival at White Hart Lane from lower league club MK Dons. The win has helped the Whites extend their unbeaten run to ten games.

After being tipped as a talent for the Nigeria senior football team, the Super Eagles, the youngster frustrated Nigerians when he honoured a call up from the Three Lions and made his debut for England in a 2-0 win over Estonia.

Dele Alli shared some kind words with the fans after the win as he dedicates the goal to them. He told BBC Sports the impact the fans, club staffs and players have made to make him settle in well at White Hart Lane.

"It definitely means a lot. The fans have been great, and the players and staff have helped me settle in. So this is for them.

"I've still got a lot to learn and Jan [Vertonghen] is usually one of the first to tell me where I need to improve. It is great to have leaders like that around. It has made it easier to come here and show what I can do," Alli stated.
