Lagos - Nigeria’s U17 women national team are due to embark
on a training tour of four states of the federation ahead of the FIFA U17 Women’s
World Cup in Coasta Rica.
The Flamingos will play leading women clubs in the country,
namely – Nasarawa Amazons, Bayelsa Queens, Rivers Angels and Delta Queens.
On completion of the four games, they will then depart to
Europe for final training camp ahead of the World Cup that holds from March 15 to
Nigeria Football Federation president, Aminu Maigari, who
met with the Flamingos, splashed the sum of one million naira (N1 million) on
the team alongside the Falconets, to spur them ahead of future challenges.
