Lagos - Super Eagles' head coach, Stephen Keshi has told SuperSport.com that he has no plans to shut the door on the team's foreign-based players.
"It will be foolhardy of us to quickly say that we won't use our players who are based abroad in the national team anymore. So far as they are ready to play for Nigeria and they are in their best form and also fit the door is always open to them just like the players in the league at home.
"We won't ignore any player doing well whether he plays here (in Nigeria) or plays abroad. But so far such a player is ready to give his best when called up to the team.
"There are some of players abroad who are very good and it's just not possible not to give them the chance to fight for places. Also let me make it clear that we still don't have a team just yet because the building process is still ongoing," the Nigerian manager said to SuperSport.com from his base in the USA.
