Former Eaglets striker Success scores in Spain

20 October 2015, 10:04

Abuja - Former Golden Eaglets striker at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup, Isaac Success, was in spectacular form when his Spanish Club, Granada took on Sporting Gijon in a six goals thriller on Monday night.

The tall but smart forward, Success was noticed in an U17 opening  screening by the then Golden Eaglets technical crew headed by Manu Garba and has gone on to represent Nigeria at the U17 and U20 level.

Bernado gave the hosts a good start with a goal in the eighth minute but Pity levelled before Success who was a thorn on the flesh of Sporting Gijon's defense doubled the lead before the break.

The former BJ Foundation (Benin) player, Isaac Success has so far scored two goals in eight appearances this term and his goal in the match was a beauty to watch, in the 41st minute he stylishly curled a shot from the edge of the box that hit the back of the net to put his team in front at 2-1 but a Youssef El Arabi goal in the 74th minute looked like a win will be earned on the road by El Graná.

However, two late goals from Sporting Gijon's Nacho Cases and Guerrero within the last fourteen minutes compelled both teams to share points as the match ended 3-3.
