Pretoria - Former Nigeria Olympic athlete Ambrose Monye has
been found guilty of the murder of Chenelle Henning by a South African court in
The High Court said Monye had conspired with businessman
Andre Gouws to carry out the act, according to Times Live.
Henning was shot dead by two men on a motorcycle after
dropping off her child in school at Faerie Glen, Pretoria on November 8, 2011.
Former policeman Gerhardus du Plessis and his friend Willem
Pieterse are serving 18-year prison sentences after confessing to the murder.
Judge Johan Kruger accepted the confession by former
policeman Gerhardus du Plessis and his friend Willem Pieterse that Monye and
Gouws had arranged the murder.
Money and Gouws face life jail when they are sentenced at a
Money represented Nigeria at the Seoul, South Korean Olympic
Games in 1988.
