London - Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has been ruled out
for up to six weeks after a Premier League game against West Ham this past weekend. Gerrard apparently suffered a hamstring injury and was pulled from the game won by Liverpool 4-1.
The 33-year-old will now miss at least four Liverpool games
- Tottenham on Sunday, Cardiff on 21 December, then Manchester City and
Chelsea on 26 and 29 December respectively, reports Fox Sports.
Daniel Sturridge had already been ruled out for eight weeks,
and will return in 2014.
