Jos - Newly-promoted Giwa FC have raised alarms that they
cannot pay the minimum wage of 150 000 Naira a month per player as ordered by
the League Management Company (LMC), KickOff Nigeria reports.
A top official of the club told the LMC they can meet up all
the other requirements for them to get a license to feature in the Nigeria
Premier League, but they cannot afford the monthly minimum salary per player.
Giwa FC gained promotion to the top flight from the Nigeria
National League last season for the first time.
