Glo out to extend Premiership lead

Lagos - Glo Nigeria Premier League log leaders, Sharks Football Club, hopes to extend their lead when they host 12th-placed Rangers at Sharks Stadium in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.

Sharks are leading the 20-team league log standing with 23 points from 13 matches played presently.

A victory on Wednesday will see the Port Harcourt-based soccer outfit increase their tally to 26 points.

Second-placed Nasarawa United host 10th seeded Giwa Football Club at 1700 hours in a potentially explosive match.

The Glo Nigeria Premier League also released other crucial fixtures for Wednesday pitting Kaduna United and Kano Pillars, El-Kanemi Warriors taking on Enyimba, Bayelsa United entertaining Akwa United, Crown FC playing Warri Wolves while Gombe United will battle it out with Sunshine Stars.

In other matches lined up, Nembe City will play Dolphins while Heartland will round-up the Glo Premiership with an encounter against Abia Warriors.

All matches kick-off at 1700.
