Golden Eaglets relocate to Concepcion after beating Brazil

02 November 2015, 16:26

Concepcion - After dismantling the young Selecao of Brazil 3-0 in the quarter-finals of the ongoing FIFA U17 World Cup, the Golden Eaglets depart Vina del Mar for Concepcion on Monday to await the winner of the encounter between Ecuador and Mexico for Thursday’s semi –final match.

Confirming this is the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), stating that the team will lodge at Hotel Diego de Almagro Lomas Verdes while a training session is expected to be held on Monday’s evening at Santa Maria (O’Higgins) pitch.

Goals from Victor Osimhen, Kingsley Michael and Udochukwu Anumudu sealed the fate of the Brazilians, thereby ensuring Nigeria’s progress to the semi-finals.

Osimhen's goal against the Brazilians took his tally to eight in five games in the competition, making him the tournament's top scorer so far.

If Nigeria win their semi-final game, they will advance to the final, and edge closer to a 5th FIFA U17 title.
