Lagos - The Nigeria U17 boys' football team, otherwise known
as the Golden Eaglets, will camp in Argentina ahead of the FIFA U17 World Cup
to be held in Chile.
The team is presently in Katsina State, where they have continued
their preparation for the competition and the Nigeria Football Federation have
confirmed the team will have a training camp in Argentina before departing for

"We concluded plans to take them on a training tour of
Argentina," deputy General Secretary of the NFF, Emmanuel Ikpeme told Hot
"The federation has finalised arrangements for them to
have a training tour of Argentina and the federation feels that we should have
a training tour in a place that has a similar weather condition (to Chile).
"Of course this is a South American country, and
basically they have a similar weather and this might be for three weeks before
they leave for Chile for the competition," Ikpeme revealed.
Nigeria won the last edition of the U17 World Cup in the
United Arab Emirates in 2013, and are the defending champions.
They qualified for this edition with a fourth place finish
at the African U17 championship that held earlier in the year, in Niger
