Ideye’s form excites WBA manager

London - These are extremely positive times for Nigeria international striker Brown Ideye, SuperSport reports.

The attacker, who has been labelled a misfit in some sections of the media following his record £10 million move to West Bromwich Albion from Dynamo Kiev, appears to be slowly finding his feet at the Midlands.

Ideye, who has yet to score a goal in the Barclays English Premier League this season, hit form on Tuesday with a barnstorming display capped by two goals in a 5-2 win over Northampton in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

Ideye’s heroics in front of goal has not gone unnoticed by the WBA manager, Alan Irvine, who was quick to offer words of encouragement to his Nigerian charge.

“He’s actually trained the best he has trained in the last couple of weeks,” Irvine told authoritative British Newspaper, Express and Star.
