Iheanacho, Awoniyi impress in training

12 December 2013, 12:06Israel Ojoko

Abuja - The three Golden Eaglets players currently training in the Super Eagles camp – Kelechi Iheanacho, Taiwo Awoniyi and Sunday Alampasu – have impressed the coaching crew after two days of training.

The team is currently in Abuja preparing for the 2014 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) billed for South Africa in January.

According to assistant coach Daniel Amokachi, all players, including the three Golden Eaglets stars, have shown tremendous determination to be part of the final 23 man squad for the South Africa 2014 tournament.

"All the players have been tremendous at training sessions and I personally will not be surprised if they make the final squad for the CHAN tournament."

“But we will have to wait for our boss to have a look at them and make a final decision," Amokachi added.

Keshi will pick a final list of 23 players to the tournament the Super Eagles will be featuring for the first time.
