Owerri - Akwa United coach, Justin Tenger said inexperience caused his side the game at Heartland in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 11 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Sunday, Supersport.com reports.
The Uyo-based side lost 1-2 to Heartland. The Nigerian Cup holders scored first through Ebere Odiche in the 13th minute while the visitors restored parity in the 15th minute through John Aguda but it was free-scoring sensation, Isah Akor that grabbed the winner for his side in the 28th minute.
The defeat leaves Akwa United on 13 points while Heartland are on 17 from a possible 33.
