London - Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi, who recently signed a
new long term deal with the gunners, is presently eyeing a first team spot at
the team despite reports linking him with a loan move.
"I like to think I have earned it. I have gone through
a lot with Arsenal, so to have a new and improved contract is very good and I'm
happy to have earned it," he told Arsenal.com

“I have had ups and downs. As I was growing up I had a lot
of downs but as I get older things just keep getting better and better.
“The ultimate goal is to break into the first team and play
as many games as I can.”
19 year old Iwobi is presently with the Nigeria senior
National team in Belgium, where they are preparing for two friendly games
against Congo DR and Cameroun.
There are indications he might make his senior team debut in
either of the fixtures, although he is yet to play a competitive game for
Arsenal at senior level, but impressed during their pre-season tour of
Singapore and scored in the 6-0 rout of Lyon in the Emirates cup. For
