Kalu Uche returns to Serie A

Lagos - Nigerian attacking midfielder, Kalu Uche, is expected to be officially announced as a Levante player in the coming days, SuperSport reports.

According to Spanish newspaper, Marca, the 32-year-old has reached an agreement with the Spanish La Liga outfit to join before the close of the transfer window this January from Qatari club, Al Rayyan SC.

Uche, who can also play as a forward, is waiting to terminate his contract with the Qatari club before travelling to Spain to complete his switch Les Granotes (The Frogs).

The Nigerian is also expected to claim a severance pay from the Qatari club before making a return to the Spanish La Liga.

Levante have turned to Uche, who has played at Almeria and Espanyol previously to resolve their goalscoring crisis this term in the Spanish top flight.
