Lagos - The Nigerian Premier League champions, Kano
Pillars have confirmed the appointment of Okey Emordi as the club’s new technical adviser.
Emordi, who resigned from Enugu Rangers at the end of the
2012/13 season, has now replaced Mohammed Baba Ganaru who has headed to
Media Officer of Pillars, Idris Malikawa told News24 Nigeria
that the announcement was made by chairman of the club, Abba Yola.
Yola said Emordi’s appointment is based on the approval of
the state governor, Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso as requested by the board.
He added that the governor has approved the release of money
for the team to prosecute the first stage of the CAF Champions League home and
Pillars begin their Champions League campaign away to As
Vita of DR Congo in February.
Emordi led Enyimba to win the CAF Champions League in 2004.
