Abuja - The management of Kano Pillars FC have applauded the fans of the club for the display of maturity and sportsmanship shown at the Sani Abacha Stadium after the Nigerian champions lost at home to Nasarawa United in a Week 25 Nigerian League tie.
Kano Pillars had held a 12 years unbeaten home record and it seems as though no team is ready yet to break that jinx. Nasarawa United against all odds left Kano with a 1-2 win, a feat no one thought could be achieved by any club at this time.
However, the fans who applauded the players after the match were being praised by the club's management for the display of maturity and sportsmanship despite seeing their beloved team lose at home.

Kano Pillars Media Manager, Idris Malikawa informed News24 that the management of the club have shared some kind and encouraging words with the fans.
"Kano Pillars management appreciated the fans of the club considering the support and cooperation they gave during and after the loss to Nasarawa United at the Sani Abacha Stadium," Malikawa told News24.
Malikawa continued: "I'm astonished at the way some club administrators didn't deem it fit to praise the composure of the fans but celebrated Kano Pillars home loss. We do accept the home loss in good faith but we are confident that we are Kano Pillars and we shall get back to winning ways soon," Malikawa calmly told News24.
Kano Pillars have have won the Nigerian League trophy thrice in a row and they've defended it twice however the third attempt to keep the trophy has been strongly challenged by in-form Enyimba and Sunshine Stars who have continued to exchange the first and second spot in the log.
