Kayode Olanrewaju explains reason behind goal celebration

05 October 2015, 14:03

Lagos - Austria Vienna striker Kayode Olanrewaju has explained the reason behind his goal celebration in his team's 2-1 win over Rheindorf Altach in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

After hitting target for the fifth time this season in the 43rd minute, the former Flying Eagles star, put the ball under his shirt and sucked his thumb like a baby, a strong hint that his wife might be expecting their second child.

''The goal was for my unborn child because when I feel him move inside my wife's tummy, the feeling is so amazing,'' said Kayode Olanrewaju to news24.

The 22-year-old has commented on Austria Vienna's 2-1 win over Rheindorf Altach, stating that the capital side deserved the win though they were a goal behind after 18 minutes.

''It wasn't easy playing away with such a team, it was really tough but I am glad we won.

''I feel hard work pays a lot, so being determined and focused will give us victory in our next game against Gorig,'' Kayode concluded.
