Cape Town - Republic of Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane has quit as assistant of Aston Villa.
The Telegraph report that Aston Villa have announced that the former Manchester United player has resigned from his role as assistant manager.
Villa are struggling in the league with just 12 points from their opening 12 games.

Paul Lambert must now take charge on his own when Aston Villa travel to Burnley on Saturday.
