Lagos - Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has dismissed people saying that some teams are easy to beat in football.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup draw holds on Friday in Brazil with
Nigeria one of the participating countries.
Keshi said Nigerians should support the Super Eagles no
matter what opponent they are drawn against, instead of praying for an easy
“There is no easy draw”, Keshi said on Brila FM.
“If we draw Malta or Uzbekistan, Nigerians will still worry”.
“Let’s just support our team. All 32 countries to the World
Cup are strong. There are no minnows to the world cup”.
“For a team to book qualification to the World Cup, it means
they can beat any team at the competition, so we don’t have to pray for easy
draw, we just need to support our team,” he said.
The 32 countries will be drawn into eight groups for a round
robin competition, with the top two booking qualification to the next round.
