Lagos - Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has dedicated his
award to assistant coaches, Daniel Amokachi, Ike Shorunmu and other backroom
staff of the team.
Keshi was announced the Coach of the Year ahead of Burkina
Faso’s Paul Put and Golden Eaglets’ Manu Garba at the 2013 Glo CAF Awards held
in Lagos on Thursday.
The gaffer who led Nigeria to win the 2013 Africa Cup of
Nations in South Africa said he dedicates the prize to those behind the scene
of his success.
“Without them (assistants) there will be little success”, he
said on Brila FM.
“My assistants and backroom staffs are very key to the
success we have made in the Super Eagles, they do the dirty job and I thank
them for that”.
Keshi, however expressed joy at winning the prize, saying
the future is bright for Nigeria football.
