Abuja - Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has reignited his war of words with Tom Saintfliet, saying the Malawi coach "insulted" Nigeria.
Earlier Saintfiet and the football federation of Malawi wrote to FIFA claiming Calabar was unsafe while requesting a change of venue for their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Keshi launched a scathing attack in response and has now defended his sentiments.
"I can't allow him to insult my country," Keshi began. "He came here and did everything he could to get a job. Nigeria was not unsafe for him then,” Keshi said.
"Because he didn't get it, he is now trying to insult our country. Many of us don't realise the significance of what he said, and we're taking it lightly.”
