Abuja - Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi says he is concerned about the lack of game time by his players, but does not expect it to be a problem when he selects his squad.
Core players in Keshi's squad, including John Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, Godfrey Oboabona and Elderson Echiejile are struggling to get playing time at their respective European clubs, but Keshi insists that they will be picked as long as they are fit.
"These are not kids that I need to teach how to play football," Keshi said. "It's just the chemistry that I need to bring into the team, the understanding in the unit.
"I would love them to play every game with their clubs. Unfortunately, I can't control that.
"But I think they are in good shape."
Keshi suggested that there might be more but says he will assess the players when they report for pre-World Cup training camp.
"I have played in Europe and sometimes there is a lot that goes on there. It's difficult to say.
"But if they come and their conditioning is good and their fitness is good, then we will take them," he added.
