Lagos - Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has explained that
dressing room harmony takes precedence over talent in his team selection, KickOff
A number of high-profile players have been snubbed by Keshi
since his appointment, and with the Super Eagles having qualified for the World
Cup, there have been widespread calls for the recalls of the likes of Joseph
Yobo, Osaze Odemwingie, Taye Taiwo, Obafemi Martins and Ike Uche.
Taiwo won the last of his 59 caps for Nigeria in a 0-0
Nations Cup qualifying draw to Rwanda in February 2012. Odemwingie has not
found favour in Keshi’s sight, while Yobo has been omitted since February.
Martins and Uche fell out of Keshi’s programme as the gaffer
continues his rebuilding process.
