Abuja - Dekina and Kogi local government teams booked their tickets in the
semi-finals of the 2015 Kogi State Governor's Cup following victories against
Okehi and Adavi respectively.
Strikes from Mohammed Salisu and Alhassan Yakub helped Coach Umar Isah's team
squeeze past Adavi by 2-1 on Sunday.
Ape Omatugba's solitary effort were all Dekina needed to secure their passage
against a stubborn Okehi team into the semi-finals on Saturday.
Despite the narrow loss to Dekina, Special Adviser to Kogi governor for Okehi
Local government area, Ganja said that his side were unlucky but pledged to
comeback stronger in the next edition of the tourney.

Kabba/Bunu and Omala sealed last four spots with victories against Lokoja and
Igalamela/Odolu respectively a week ago.
In the semi-final fixtures, Kabba/Bunu will play Omala while Dekina will face
Kogi for a place in the final.
Both semi-final ties billed for the Lokoja Confluence Stadium have been fixed
for 11th and 13th September respectively.
The final of this year's state football championship organized by the Kogi
State Football Association will hold on September 26th.
