Kunle Odunlami's proposed move on the brink of collapse

19 June 2015, 10:15

Abuja - Sunshine Stars defender Kunle Odunlami's proposed move to Raja Casablanca is on the brink of collapse, with newly appointed coach of the Moroccan side, Ruud Krol, reluctant to rubber-stamp the transfer.

Before the retired Netherlands captain took over the managerial reigns at The Green Devils, Odunlami and his intermediary, Joel Buade had been issued visas to Morocco and were only waiting for Raja Casablanca higher - ups to send them flight tickets.

''We were waiting for Raja Casablanca to send the tickets before the President resigned,'' said Joel Buade to news24.com.

''But Kunle is a top player, already I have other clubs interested but Raja just made this faster than others.''

Agent Joel Buade has threatened to call off negotiations if he does not receive the airline tickets in the next 72 hours, adding that his client is also on the wish list of Al Masry and unnamed club in Saudi Arabia.

''Al Masry are still interested and another Saudi club, so I am very confident about his transfer. I am not worried.

''I have given Raja 72 hours to conclude talks about Kunle. It is football business, things happen when you don't expect.

''I will finish another deal for him if Raja don't want him anymore within a couple of days, ‘Buade concluded.

The 25-year-old Odunlami was a surprise addition to Nigeria's 2014 World Cup roster but didn't make an appearance during the tournament in Brazil.
