Ilorin - The Kwara State Government have released funds to
clear all outstanding entitlements of players and officials of Kwara United FC
of Ilorin, KickOff Nigeria reports.
This disclosure was made by the State's Commissioner for
Sports and Youth Development, Prince Saheed Popoola who revealed that Governor
Abdulfatah Ahmed has approved the payment of the remaining 30% of the sign-on
fees for the 2012/13 season as well as payment of the 2013/2014 sign-on fee and
clearance fee for the team.
Kwara United was among four teams that were relegated from
the Nigerian Premier League last season, and are seeking a return to the top
