LMC approves Dolphins stadium

04 March 2014, 19:14

Port Harcourt - The management of Dolphins FC says the League Management Company (LMC) has approved the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt as home ground for the 2013/2014 Glo Premier League home matches.

This is contained in a statement by the Media Officer of Dolphins FC, China Acheru, made available to reporters.

It said in a letter of approval signed by the Chief Operating Officer of the LMC, Salihu Abubarkar that the body however called for the replacement of the deplorable structures in the stadium.

"The stadium is very okay. I hereby recommend it for GPL matches," the statement quoted Abubakar as saying.

It also quoted Acheru as saying that the club was happy to have the stadium approved by the LMC.

“Every team wants to play in front of its fans no matter how little they are.

"We are happy we can play on our ground and we will certainly make sure we do not disappoint the LMC for approving the stadium.

“We understand what the LMC is doing and we will work around the clock to get our stadium close to 100 per cent ready,” Acheru said.
