Leader meets underdog in Glo Premiership race

Lagos – The Glo Premiership campaign resumes on Wednesday with the new log leaders Sunshine Stars eager to maintain their position atop the standings.

The side has a seemingly easy task with a fixture against relegation-threatened Dolphins in a tie scheduled for the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt.

The game is among the five midweek matches in the offering.

Stars are bubbling with confidence following their 4-0 demolition of Giwa FC on Sunday.

On the other hand, Dolphins' woes continued with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Warri Wolves.

Dolphins are placed 18th on the 20-team league log.

Elsewhere across the country, Bayelsa United, who will be away to bottom of the table Taraba in another top-versus-bottom affair.

Defending champions Enyimba are second on the log.

Other matches involve El-Kanemi Warriors against Warri Wolves, Wikki Tourists hosting Abia Warriors while Heartland entertain Kwara United to round up the Wednesday ties.

All matches kick at 17:00hrs.
