Algiers - Algeria is set to host the 2017 Africa Cup of
Nations should Libya be disqualified by the Confederation of African Football
following ongoing violence in the country, according to report on SuperSport.
Algeria football federation president Mohamed Raouraoua said
his country has the required infrastructure to organise the continental
showpiece if called upon at any time by Caf.
“Algeria is ready to replace Libya in hosting the 2017
Africa Cup of Nations. I think we have everything necessary to receive such a
huge event in our country,” Raouraoua said.
The 2015 edition will be hosted by Morocco in January.
