London - Liverpool Ladies have revealed that they contended with top clubs in America and Europe for the signing of Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala.
Liverpool Ladies on Friday announced the signing of the Nigerian who joined the English club from Rivers Angels in Nigeria.
Coach Matt Beard said Liverpool were quick to beat top clubs to sign Oshoala, as he believes she “is one of the best young players in the world."
Oshoala, 20, also expressed delight at joining the Merseyside club, saying she has always dreamt of taking her career to a bigger club.

“Liverpool Ladies are a massive Club who have some fantastic players who I believe can help to develop my game to the next level. It was also a big incentive to be able to play in the Uefa Women’s Champions League which is a huge competition and one I’m confident we can do well in,” she added.
