Birmingham - Hatem Ben Arfa scored one goal and set up another to give Newcastle a 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday in the Premier League.
Ben Arfa took advantage of poor defending to put his team ahead in the 18th minute, but Villa drew level through Christian Benteke's header in the 67th. Newcastle went back in front in the 73rd when Brad Guzan palmed away the impressive Ben Arfa's shot and substitute Yoan Gouffran pounced.
Since losing its first Premier League game of the season 4-0 against Manchester City, Newcastle has a draw and two wins. Villa, on the other hand, has now lost three games in a row after winning at Arsenal in its league opener.
