Lagos - Aminu Maigari has resigned his position as president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Futaa.com reports.
Maigari in a letter dated 12th August, and addressed to the Sports Minister Tammy Danagogo, said he is not interested in re-contesting for the office of the president in the next NFF election.

Maigari may not be able to preside over the NFF general assembly scheduled for Tuesday August 26, 2014.
There have been intense battle among the leadership of the NFF since the return of the Super Eagles from the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
