Man City loan out Nigerian youngster

13 January 2015, 18:20Israel Ojoko

London - English Premier League club Manchester City is set to loan out Nigerian youngster Chidiebere Nwakali to a European side.

Manchester City will not name the club the Flying Eagles star is heading to.

Nwankali joined City alongside compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho following their exploits at the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2013.

City’s scouting and recruitment operations manager Fergal Harkin confirms the anticipated loan move.

“For Chidiebere Nwakali, we are currently in the process of agreeing his loan deal to Europe and he will not be available to meet up with the national team until further notice,” he said, giving reason why the player will not participate at the 2015 African Youth Championship (AYC).

“At this moment in time, we feel it is best for his development that he cements his place in the club side.”

The player is expected to seal the move in the coming days.
