Lagos - AS Roma are weighing up a move for Carpi striker Jerry Mbakogu, News24 exclusively gathered from an insider.

The Rome had scouts watching the forward who helped Carpi gain promotion to the Italian Serie A during the 2014/15 Serie B season.

The Champions League campaigners want a powerful forward who can provide competition to the first team and who they can also develop.

In recent times, Russian Premier League side, Kuban Krasnodar had submitted an offer of 5.5 million euros in their bid to land the signature of the 22-year-old.
