London - John Obi Mikel has made an assessment of Chelsea's
first pre – season fixture against New York Red Bulls played on Wednesday.
The defensive midfielder was in action for 45 minutes, with the
highlight of his performance being a chance he created for fellow Nigeria
international Victor Moses, only for his dink to come off the post.
''Overall it was a pretty good warm-up game but not the
result we hoped for, ''Mikel told Chelsea's official webpage.
''We knew we needed to start the game well. I was in the
dressing room having a shower at the beginning of the second half so I don’t
know how we started but we obviously
didn’t end the game well.''
