Lagos - John Obi Mikel has been named in the final shortlist
of three nominees for the 2013 Africa Footballer of the Year award.
Mikel made the final cut alongside holder, Yaya Toure and
Nigeria strikers Emmanuel Emenike, and Ahmed Musa, as well
as goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama were all dropped from the list.
However, Sunday Mba made the cut for the final three
nominees for players who play on African continent.
The other nominees in the category are Mohammed Aboutreika
and Ahmed Fathy.
The Glo-CAF Awards will be presented at a ceremony in Lagos
on January 9.
