Mikel out of UCL clash with PSG

London - Nigeria international midfielder, John Obi Mikel, has been ruled out of Chelsea's Uefa Champions League game against French side, Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, SuperSport reports.

Mikel is currently nursing a minor knee injury, according to official report from his club.

"A 22-man squad departed for France earlier today (Monday) ahead of our Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow (Tuesday) night.

"John Mikel Obi didn’t travel as he continues his recovery from a minor knee problem," Chelsea announced on their website on Monday.

The 27-year-old midfielder last featured for Chelsea when he came off the bench to replace Oscar in their 2-1 win at Aston Villa on February 7.

The former FC Lyn-Olso man missed the Premier League home match against Everton on February 11.

Mikel has made 19 appearances for Chelsea in the Premier League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup this term.
