playing against Atletico Madrid on April 30 in the Uefa Champions League
semi-final second leg due to an accumulation of yellow cards, KickOff Nigeria
Mikel played for Chelsea in Tuesday’s 0-0 first-leg draw in
Madrid which has put the Blues in a good position to reach the Final ahead of
next week’s home semi-final clash.
The Nigeria international will now sit-out the return leg in
Stamford Bridge, with the hope that Chelsea wins.
Tuesday’s game may be Mikel’s last in the Champions League
this season if Chelsea fails to beat Atletico Madrid on April 30.
