Calabar - More foreign-based players on Tuesday arrived Super Eagles Metropolitan Hotel Camp in Calabar ahead of Saturday’s crucial 2013 African Nations Cup qualifier against the Lone Stars of Liberia.
Eagles Media Officer, Ben Alaiya said the newly arrived players were vice captain, Vincent Enyeama, Efe Ambrose and Real Betis’ Nosa Igiebor.
“Other newly arrived players are Chelsea’s Victor Moses, Spartak Moscow’s Ahmed Musa, Elderson Echiejile and Israeli-based goalkeeper, Austin Ejide.
“They all have joined their seven home-based counterparts that first arrived in Calabar on Monday.
Alaiya said that other foreign-based players were being expected by Tuesday evening, adding that the team had begun training for the encounter.
``All the players are expected today (Tuesday). Full training has begun,’’ he stated.
He added that the Lone Stars of Liberia were being expected in Calabar on Thursday.
NAN reports that the mood in camp was that of optimism as the players were radiating with lots of excitement.
