Mourinho WILL coach Chelsea

21 May 2013, 11:01Garrin Lambley - Sport24 Editor

Cape Town - If leading UK bookmakers are to believed, it's a fait accompli that 'The Special One' Jose Mourinho will return to Stamford Bridge to coach Chelsea next season.

Mourinho's departure from Spanish giants Real Madrid was confirmed late on Monday, paving the way for a return to London.

Mourinho previously coached Chelsea from 2004-2007 where he won six trophies, including two English Premiership titles, two League Cup titles, the FA Cup and the Super Cup.

Leading bookies Sky Bet have installed Mourinho at 1/14 to take over from Rafa Benitez for the 2013/14 English Premiership season.

Current Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini, widely linked with the vacant Manchester City job, is available at odds of 20/1.

Pellegrini is 1/12 to take over from Roberto Mancini at City next season.

Meanwhile, Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is even money to succeed David Moyes at Everton.

Other front runners include former Manchester United and Everton player Phil Neville at 4/1 and current Celtic coach Neil Lennon at 5/1.
